The excitement is starting to build ready for tonight’s party. There’s going to be lots of fun and games for all the little fairies and elves! The nights are drawing in, there’s a change in the weather, the trees are slowly changing colour, but there’s nothing like a good sing-song with friends to chase these blues away. We’ve been working on some traditional songs with great harmonies with Amy. It’s amazing how quickly these come together.
What a great night at Kirrie Bowling Club, we had lots of positive comments! Lovely harmonies, rousing choruses, a bit of humour, and of course a tinge of sadness as we remember those who aren’t with us any longer.
Another great night of singing, and fine tuning in preparation of our upcoming concert. Lots of great harmonies, and lilting lyrics! Nothing quite like singing Scottish traditional songs with a modern twist. Great sponge cake at the break to sustain our energy!
A great day of singing with the lovely Debra Salem. Lovely to see some familiar faces and a chance to meet new singers. We sang everything from chants, to gospel, to 70’s mix. Our heads were spinning, brains like mince, but the smiles on the faces told the story. Hope to see you all again next year… or sooner if you wish to join us!
We were all in good voice tonight, all bright and bouncy after a day in the sun. The new rounds are coming along nicely. A little tweaking with some of the harmonies, and fairly rolling along with Harriet. We’re all getting excited about our forthcoming concert!
We’ve had lots of fun these last few weeks going over songs in preparation of our concert on 25 June. Ali is back with us with some new songs and Helen revived some golden oldies the previous week. It is good to just sing for the pleasure of singing without worrying too much about words or stage presence! I can’t wait for next week to come!
